Happy first day of spring!

I couldn’t resist sharing some spring bloom pictures I recently snapped. We’ve been blessed with some amazing weather in Texas and I’ve tried to soak up every ounce that I can.  The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and a warm breeze is blowing. It’s like something out of a movie!

Valentine Mini Sessions - Frisco, TX Family Photographer

This was my first year hosting Valentine mini sessions and I’m already looking forward to next year! I was a little nervous about shooting indoors as it’s not my typical set up. I imagined little ones running all over my house and me following behind them trying to bribe them with cupcakes to come back to the studio area. I thought it was impossible for me to ask a 2 year old to sit in one spot for 15 minutes……am I right? Well my little clients sure showed me! They were prefect little angles and had no problem saying in front of the back drop!

We played, sang songs, and had a great time! Oh yeah, and we did end each session with a cupcake…..because cupcakes are fun!

I was so happy with how the images turned out that my dining room has temporally turned into a studio. I’ve added an indoor option to my little ones package. I think this will come in handy during the extreme weather months!

Thanks to all the parents who came out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with me! Your little valentines were precious and made my checks hurt from smiling so much!

On the Other Side of the Camera

Back in the fall Kent (my fiancé) and I went on a little photo walk at a local park. I was itching to take pictures of the beautiful fall foliage!

While I was in my own little world creating art through my camera Kent snapped a few pictures of me in action. It’s kind of weird to see what I look like while I’m snapping away! For those of you that have worked with me you know that I get into all sorts of strange poses to get just the right angle. By the end of a shoot I’m usually covered in mud, grass stains, and have scraped up knees. That’s how I know it was a successful session!

When it’s just me and my camera I’m in my own little world.
Hours pass by and it feels like minutes.

When I have down time the 1^st thing I think about it taking my camera out and exploring!
I often get lost in my little photography world and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Do you LOVE, love? I know I do! Let’s celebrate Valentine’s Day with a fun themed mini session event!

Info: Each session is 15 minutes and includes a photo CD with 8 high resolution enhanced images for you to print wherever you like, and a custom E-Valentine for you to e-mail to friends and family!

      -Printed wallet size Valentines are available, $10.00 for a set of 24. Please let me know prior to your session if you would like to order prints.

      - Your photo CD will be ready and mailed out Monday, January 7th. No rush orders please!

Payment: Payment is due at the start of the session. Cash or check made payable to Kendra Pryor.

Attire Suggestions: Bring your kiddos dressed in fun Valentine’s themed clothing (red, pink, purple, pastels, black, touches of white is okay but avoid all white shirts).

      -For the GIRLS: The frillier the better…tutus, petticoats, fun frilly dresses, jeans or tights paired with a cute colorful top, ruffles, bows, jewelry, fun hair accessories, and frilly hats! Make sure hair if pulled away from the face. I’ll probably have them barefoot for most shots so bright painted toenails would be fun but not a must. Avoid plain white shirts.

      -For the BOYS: Funky patterned buttoned up shirts, printed t-shirts layered over buttons up shirts, plaid shirts, sweater vest, khakis, jeans, avoid all white shirts. Might be fun to get a shot of your little man in his jeans with no shirt and a “I Love Mom” tattoo on his arm!

Location: Due to the weather this event will be indoors. I’ll be turning my dining room into a makeshift studio for the day! I do have two little dogs but will keep them put away the day of the event. Once your time slots is reserved I will e-mail the exact location.

Best Face of 2010

 

 

 

This was taken during one of my earlier sessions in 2010. Although I feel that I’ve grown as a photographer since I 1st snapped this picture, it’s still one of my ALL time favorites! I love the emotion that was captured! The baby on the left was full of smiles during the shoot………..just a big ole clown while the baby on the right was a bit unsure of Mr. Jolly. These priceless faces were the result!

Oh the funny captions I can think of for this picture!

Trippy Christmas Lights

 

I bumped my shutter speed wayyyy down and wiggled my camera in front of our Christmas tree to get this effect.

These remind me of those digital images from the nineties where you were suppose to get real close to them, then take a few steps back and a image would magically appear. Do you know what I’m talking about? Ah those things drove me nuts! I have yet to this day been able to see the “magical image” appear. I sure try though!

Do you see anything when you look closely at these?

I’m seeing some upside down Aviator sunglasses in the 3^rd image.

2010 Holiday Cards – Frisco, TX Family Photographer

I’ve never been this excited about Christmas cards before BUT I’m super excited to share Kendra Pryor Photography’s 2010 Christmas cards. I think they’re pretty cute! There’s a little bit of something for everyone so I hope you find a design that you like.

Because I’m a big kid at heart and obsessed with the Nutcracker ballet I’ve given each card a fitting name that correlates with something fun from the Nutcracker! This is the name you will list when you place your order.

Cost:

Option 1: $25 design fee
-one 5x7 high-resolution file (image will need to printed true to size)
-you are responsible for printing and purchasing size A7 envelopes

Option 2: $40/set of 25 cards
-25 5x7 double-sided holiday cards
-includes envelopes
-press printed on high quality art linen paper
These are not your standard glossy photo cards similar to those you order from online sites. These are beautiful and rich with color and texture, designed to compliment your family photos. These cards are not “photo cards”, more like high quality greeting cards. If you prefer a gloss card a semi gloss option is available as well.  
-If you’ve placed an order for holiday cards but would still like to purchase the image CD you can do so for $15.00 per CD.
--If 50 or more cards are ordered you will receive your holiday card image CD for free!

 

To order holiday cards:

1. Choose a template from the following collection.
2. Print an order form and mail it back to me along with your payment. You can also e-mail it to me if you wish to pay through paypal.
3. You will receive a soft copy proof of your card via email.
4. Once approved, the cards will be ordered and shipped to your home!
