The Frist Day of Spring

Happy first day of spring!

I couldn’t resist sharing some spring bloom pictures I recently snapped. We’ve been blessed with some amazing weather in Texas and I’ve tried to soak up every ounce that I can.  The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and a warm breeze is blowing. It’s like something out of a movie!

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose
I would always greet it in the garden

Baby J Turns 6 Months Old – Frisco, Texas Child Photographer

I met up with Baby J and her momma for baby J’s 6 month pictures. It’s only been 4 months since I took their family pictures but my-oh-my has baby J grown! They grow and change so fast in their first year which is why I always recommend photographing your child at 1-2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months! This way you’re able to capture all those milestones they hit in their 1st year of life!

There was too much curtness going on during this session! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much during the shoot….that’s a good problem to have! Look at those precious cheeks, and those beautiful long eyelashes! I think we have another heartbreaker on our hands. ;o)

Sweet Baby Boy A.–Frisco, Texas Newborn Photographer

Oh goodness this is post is super late! I took little A’s newborn pictures back in the fall. I’m trying to catch up on all my photo shoot blogging.

Baby A. spoiled me during his session. He slept like a champ and was a happy boy while he was awake! His momma was super prepared for his molding debut. She ordered the cutest things off etsy.com and had everything all ready to go when I arrived. Loved the little hat and cocoon she chose…..precious!

If you have a newborn session coming up etsy.com is the place to look for newborn hats but be warned once you start looking it’s hard to stop! Newborns are best photographed in their birthday suites as they tend to get lost in over sized clothes. They will only be this tiny once so I always recommend they be photographed in cute hats, diaper covers, bows, and head bands.

I often get asked……
“How far in advance should I book my newborn session and when should their pictures be taken?”

Answer: It’s best to schedule your newborn session before the birth of your little one and to have their pictures taken within the first two weeks of life. They of course have their own idea as to when to arrive so I will be flexible with your session date but it’s always good to have it on the schedule!

Miss E’s Senior Session- Frisco, TX Senior Photographer

Miss E. was a joy to photograph! She has a smile that lights up a room and the most beautiful hair! I think E. looks like she could be Hayden Panettiere’s sister. Did you see the resemblance? I see it a lot in the last couple of images. E didn’t know who Hayden was when I told her but I assured her it’s a good thing!

We decided to do the shoot at E’s church. E and her family have been going to the same church since she was a baby. I think that’s so neat! The church grounds we stunning! We were there for a couple hours but barely scratched the surface. I hope to shoot there again soon!

Valentine Mini Sessions - Frisco, TX Family Photographer

This was my first year hosting Valentine mini sessions and I’m already looking forward to next year! I was a little nervous about shooting indoors as it’s not my typical set up. I imagined little ones running all over my house and me following behind them trying to bribe them with cupcakes to come back to the studio area. I thought it was impossible for me to ask a 2 year old to sit in one spot for 15 minutes……am I right? Well my little clients sure showed me! They were prefect little angles and had no problem saying in front of the back drop!

We played, sang songs, and had a great time! Oh yeah, and we did end each session with a cupcake…..because cupcakes are fun!

Below are a few of my favorites from the session!

It may take a few second for images to load.

I was so happy with how the images turned out that my dining room has temporally turned into a studio. I’ve added an indoor option to my little ones package. I think this will come in handy during the extreme weather months!

Thanks to all the parents who came out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with me! Your little valentines were precious and made my checks hurt from smiling so much!

On the Other Side of the Camera

Back in the fall Kent (my fiancé) and I went on a little photo walk at a local park. I was itching to take pictures of the beautiful fall foliage!

While I was in my own little world creating art through my camera Kent snapped a few pictures of me in action. It’s kind of weird to see what I look like while I’m snapping away! For those of you that have worked with me you know that I get into all sorts of strange poses to get just the right angle. By the end of a shoot I’m usually covered in mud, grass stains, and have scraped up knees. That’s how I know it was a successful session!

When it’s just me and my camera I’m in my own little world.
Hours pass by and it feels like minutes.

When I have down time the 1st thing I think about it taking my camera out and exploring!
I often get lost in my little photography world and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
